JULY 7-10, 2019:


This 3.5 day Symposium examines lessons learned from traumatic events and reveals new, preemptive school safety measures growing in multiple realms. The focus is on proactive, measured and effective methods of keeping schools safe and is designed to provide a number of takeaways that districts, departments and agencies can implement immediately. This is not open to the public, and attendees will be asked to show an agency or organization I.D. upon check-in.


Law enforcement, school personnel, victim advocates, mental health professionals, emergency and risk management staff, school safety teams and all first responders.


Presenters include school administrators, law enforcement, criminal justice and school security administrators who have been involved in the response and recovery to school violence and other events.


The 2018 Briefings will be held at the Adams 12 Five-Star School District Conference Center

Presentations are all general sessions starting at Noon p.m. on Sunday, July 7. Hours are 8:30 to 4:30 on Monday and Tuesday, with lunch on your own from approximately Noon to 1:00. Tuesday will be a full day SRP/SRM Certified Trainer class. Wednesday begins at the Columbine Memorial in Clement Park which is adjacent to Columbine High School, followed by sessions in Columbine High School until around noon. The Briefings adjourn after that. 


The Briefings is hosted by The "I Love U Guys" Foundation, with assistance from Adams 12 Five-Star School District.

The early registration fee will be $250/person from opening until February 28, 2019. After that, it will be $350/person. There are tuition grants available; please contact us directly for information. Proceeds benefit The I Love U Guys Foundation.
